Where to Stay in Naga City: Villa Caceres Hotel

Yey!!! Now completing my staycation diaries of the pioneering hotels in Naga. After experiencing first hand Avenue Plaza Hotel and Crown Hotel, here’s the good ol’ but classically beautiful Villa Caceres Hotel. VCH rooms offer a Victorian interior plus many upgraded hotel amenities that can complement your lifestyle. Villa Caceres is now on its 25th year serving Naga and Bicol’s guests, just wow!





Had a “me time/down time/quiet time call it any way you want it at VCH’s Executive Suite now I can personally recommend them with conviction. While yes, it’s basic to recommend what we have here in Naga, but guided by my principle, it’s indeed important to have them personally experienced to better understand how our services here in Naga work.

Villa Caceres Hotel can actually be of service to different guests. There are rooms for the budget conscious especially for travelers, offering dormitory type rooms, a solo room with basic hotel accommodation and the new wing with premiere rooms having Victorian interiors like this Executive Suite. 

The room, #242 has a small balcony overlooking a neighborhood. Oh, the room is a non-smoking room. 

The Executive Suite comes with a complimentary buffet breakfast good for 2 pax at RJ's Buffet and use of the swimming pool.

I just love every bit of detail of the Victorian interior.

The room has a quiet split-type AC unit which is individually controlled according to your temperature preference, a 32" Samsung LED? TV with Cable connection and USB ports should you have storage devices with your own movies. The room has a huge work desk with lamp and telephone beside the bed (no extension of the phone inside the bathroom).

There's a mini bar, with the basic electric kettle, cups and saucers, coffee and bottled mineral water. There's a mini-ref as well, a closet with hangers, luggage rack and bathrobes. There's also an electronic lock safe for your important belongings. 

The bathroom has of course the hot and cold shower, towels, hair dyer, basic toiletries like shower caps, shampoo & conditioner,  soap, toothbrush & toothpaste for your dental needs and a very nice bathtub.

VCH also makes sure that you get updated with their latest offerings and events. 

Cozy and comfortable bed. 

And of course waking up as the sunlight touches you coming from the balcony is always a lovely sight.

Complimentary buffet breakfast for two at RJ's Buffet. Yey!

Wasn't able to take much photos during breakfast because there were a lot of guests that day.

Really love this part of the hotel. This is an extension of the lobby from the front desk with elegant chairs that will make you feel like royalty.

Plus look up for a surprise and stargaze right then and there. 

Indeed Villa Caceres Hotel has upgraded so much over the past few years. What I love about VCH is the flexibility of their services. Will be exploring more about them one by one hopefully in the next months to come. Will be updating this post from time to time but here are the rest of the amenities that for sure most of you have already experienced.

Rafabel's, one of my favorite cafes in Naga, also has a branch here in Villa Caceres. Rolando's Cafe, the in house restaurant of the hotel. RJ's Buffet, the fiesta all day buffet and the biggest in Naga. Beside it is of course the legendary Bistro Roberto, the bar and disco in one that has been entertaining Naga for decades. Anne's Pool Bar. The Health Resort Club (HRC) which comprises the GYM, POOL and SPA. You should check out their MVP Card too as it is loaded with privileges that will give you ample of discounts whole year round. There's so much to say about Villa Caceres now to be honest and this is just the tip of the iceberg.

Buffet Breakast at the Avenue Plaza Hotel

Naga City - Breakfast has never been this satisfying ever since I was able to try the buffet at the Cafe Plazuela of Avenue Plaza Hotel. Whether you are staying at the hotel or not, walk-in guests can avail of the buffet breakfast at a very reasonable price.

The menu is a combination of local and international breakfast options. There's an egg station where you can request for an omelet with garnishes of your choice. Cold cuts station plus a bread, butter and cheese station. Assorted fruits and fresh vegetables with special dressing and a cereal station at the center.

On the left wing are the heavy, carbo and protein loaded breakfast options. The menu varies from time to time. The first time I was able to try the buffet (story HERE), the left wing dishes where slightly different.

It's an all around the world kind of menu for everyone to experience right here in the Heart of Bicolandia. Now many of the dishes might be word-class but rest assured that Avenue does not leave out the goodness of Pinoy food. Cafe Plazuela will be perfect for your special occasions and cherished moments. Last weekend, together with the Bicol Bloggers and Nagayon Team, we were privileged enough to have a taste (just a few dishes) of the new menu. While Naga City Deck Facebook turned 20k Likes a night before our staycation at the Avenue, everything felt like it was destiny. I'm back home to the very first brand who supported my advocacy. I'll keep you posted for the separate article regarding our staycation at the Avenue. Now let's take this all around the world trip right here at home, shall we? There are numerous dishes on the new menu, so everything you’ll see here is just a sneak peek.

All grilled portions are served with market fresh vegetables with your choice of starch and sauces. If you also want your meat to be well done or medium rare just tell the server.

Other grilled meats: The US Rib-eye Steak, US Sirloin Steak and Herb Crusted Rack of Lamb.

My take on this night's superb dinner, a well-done Australian Tenderloin Stake
coupled with Red Wine. I just so love the sauce and the steak was really juicy, wrapped with bacon.

Fresh fruit in season on a bed of crepes gratinated with Grand Marnier Sabayon

Rich smooth and tangy combination of cream cheese and Irish coffee, served with strawberry coulis.

Everything is not enough in one blog post. These are just few of the wonderful creations of the Chefs of the Avenue Plaza Hotel. There's many for us to try but as for me, I have a limited storage in my tummy, coming back to Cafe Plazuela will be a very good idea. If you have guests coming to Naga anytime soon or this coming Peñafrancia Festival, bring them to Cafe Plazuela and they will experience the good life and the best of Bicolano hospitality. It was a lovely night with my blogger friends and I may sound exaggerated but it was really an around the world journey of culinary creations.
