Nuffnang Blog Awards, Here I Come

Come 16 December 2011, 500 bloggers from around the Asia-Pacific region will flock to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia for the Nuffnang Asia-Pacific Blog Awards 2011 in Putrajaya Marriott. The Awards aims to not only honour the region's best bloggers, but also to bring together blogger communities from across Asia-Pacific. The Nuffnang Asia-Pacific Blog Awards is brought to you by Volkswagen Malaysia and Putrajaya Marriott.

I wanted to give a different twist to my blogging experience by joining this great opportunity being offered to us bloggers in the Asia-Pacific Region. I was actually about to sleep when I checked my email then I saw this news about the NAPBS 2011. A light bulb just hit me and said to myself to give it a try. After all, the opportunity is given to be one of the 500 people and in order to make that opportunity happen.. then I must join this contest.

Everything starts with a first try and surprises might come along the way as I would always keep my hopes up. Why would there be a twist in my blogging experience? Simply because this is my first time to join any contest there is in the blog world whether it be local or national in scope. Now why do I like to join the rest of the 499 bloggers from across the Asia-Pacific Region? Here are my top 3 reasons:

No. 3 - As a PERSON - Honestly speaking, if ever I win, I would be glad to have stamp in my never used passport which I got 3 years ago. You got it right, this will be my first international flight ever! For me, it will be another milestone in my life.

No. 2 - As a BLOGGER - I would like to witness and be with the best bloggers in the Asia-Pacific region. I may not be a winner but being with the winners will surely make me proud as a blogger who promotes my city at all cause.

No. 1 - As a FILIPINO, as an ASIAN - Attending the NAPBS 2011 will be a memorable learning experience for me as I will be able to see, meet and experience the rich culture of Asian bloggers. I, as a blogger, I connect, converse and interact online with other people, but I treasure the real life interaction with people around me as it makes our lives meaningful, colorful and brings nations closer and stronger. I'm a Proud PINOY, Proud Naguena!

I might have a slim chance of being one of the 500 destined bloggers to join the big event but I like to dream big and I like it to be the Nuffnang way. Well, good luck to us all! And I hope to see myself in the NAPBS 2011 in Malaysia!
