Dig Some Dimsums at The Crown Park Restaurant

Naga City - The Crown Park Restaurant favorites just keeps adding and adding more Asian cuisines to their menu. Just looking back at my previous post about Cafe Federico and The Park makes me admire how the food industry in Naga is flourishing. Naga may have passed by the stage of being a growing food destination. I think Naga has arrived to be a food destination here in Bicol because of the wide selection of restaurants catering to different palates of customers, local or foreign.

Buchi Buchi and Bola Bola Siopao for P100.

Ball game. The Buchi-Buchi is surprisingly competitive with other Buchis out in the market. Even our Social Media Influencer @yvetteducut was able to taste one and surprisingly she liked it. According to Yvette she doesn't really eat Buchi even though it's readily sold in a fast food chain.

Not your regular siomai but definitely it is worth your every cent. 

This Empress Siomai is MUST TRY. I absolutely love the sauce that comes along with it when served. 

Spring Roll Vegetable for only P150. The slices are actually big and it comes in six. The roll is dense with vegetables and herb. Not bad for P150 for sharing. 

Another MUST TRY, the Crown Fried Dumpling for P180 and comes in twelves. I must say this is very distinctive from the other regular siomais. 

Together with the Bicol Bloggers, we all had these dimsums for snack but it felt like it was dinner. As of writing, these new dishes are only available at the Crown Park's branch at the New Crown Hotel in downtown Naga. Hopefully they can also serve this at the SM City Naga branch. These new goodies are really affordable. So what are you waiting for dig some dimsums at the Crown Park Restaurant now!

Cafe Frederico and Crown Park Restaurant

Naga City - The Heart of Bicol has a lot of homegrown coffee shops answering to the call of 'coffeholics'. One to many is the Cafe Frederico as the in-house cafe of Crown Hotel. Because the hotel boasts the best view in the Central Business District 1 of Naga, the least thing that you can do if you're not checking in is to dine at Cafe Frederico. We have no skyscrapers in Naga that offers the best view of the city while enjoying good food, but Cafe Frederico is the closest thing we've got located on the 2nd level of Crown Hotel. It may not give us an aerial view of the whole city, but it's worth your time because the best things in Naga City can be seen up close and personal.

New Dimsums at the Crown Park Restaurant HERE

As of writing, the menu they offer is that of the Crown Park Restaurant. Mainly because many of the customers enjoy Crown Park Restaurants food while staying in Cafe Frederico which is on the 2nd level of the hotel. Soon they will serving a different menu and we're sure this is something to look forward to.

Just like staying in Crown Hotel, it offers the best view of the city day or night. Crown Park Restaurant is also one of the first Chinese restaurants in the city and in my own personal opinion, one of the best. The authentic Chinese herbs and spices is very noticeable in smell and in taste. The food plus the classic view of the city makes this restaurant special and can make you feel like a local. 

I often describe this view as that of a large screen, live feed television of Naga City, in it's pure and classic awesomeness form of Naga's city lights, cars and busy Nagueños. And as one fellow NcDecker said on our Facebook Page: "...with no commercial breaks!"

Crown Hotel: Complete Naga Experience

Naga City - When we think of home, it can be anything (insert adjective) according to our tastes and senses. Naga City by far has ample of hotels across different types and offers that can suit every guests needs.  Viva View! Viva Crown! For me, Crown the has best hotel view of downtown Naga all year round. The hotel does not only boasts the perfect location during Peñafrancia Festival but also during special events which are commonly held at the principal streets of Naga. The momentous "turn" of Ina's andas around Plaza Quince Martires is always a breathtaking view with goosebumps tickling your nerves upon hearing the cheer of faith from the devotees. Day or night and most especially if your room is adjacent to the Plaza Quince Martires, one would never get tired of the view and lights surrounding it.

I was amazed how clean the bathroom was, I even asked if the tiles were new, which they weren't. Spotlessly clean and maintained. Plus plus point for me!

Basic, affordable and very "Nagueño-ish". Basic hotel accommodation that is affordable yet not sacrificing comfort and elegance. The hotel is not a five star hotel, who needs it anyway if you have all the means and access to everything you need around the hotel. Staying in Crown Hotel can make you feel like a local, thus very "Nagueño-ish".  

Standard Single Php 1,500

Standard Single and Standard Twin Bed rooms are very affordable and easy on the budget but not below the standard comfort that you could get. Since the hotel is right at the city center, there are rooms where street noises can be heard but just a little, I believe the hotel is working on it.

24-hour access to food cravings. First and foremost, Crown Hotel has Cafe Frederico and Crown Park Restaurant as their in-house café and restaurant (A separate blog plost will be dedicated for this). If you are looking for authentic Bicolano dishes, just turn to Peñafrancia Avenue and there you will find Mama Eñga with surprisingly low prices and tastes as good as home cooked meals but in a well-presented turo-turo scheme.  Elias Angeles on the other hand is home to 24-hour fast food chains with our local favorite Bigg's Diner fronting Plaza Quince Martires.

Every local favorite is just a walk away. Pinoy meryenda is just near the hotel such as Casa Moderna and Quality Bakery. Learn the Culture of Bulastog located at Plaza Rizal. It's like streetfood like no other with the value of honesty being practiced when you eat bulastog (kwek-kwek), isaw, bbq, etc. The Naga City Market or now known as Naga City People's Mall is just a block away and find cheap pasalubongs and the like. Naga Garden's toasted siopao and asado mami is also a walk away and the humble Kinalas near Plaza Quezon which only opens at night (You can always visit other Kinalas houses along Dayangdang). Visit San Francisco Parish church which is adjacent to Plaza Quince Martires then buy a steaming hot "Takop-Takop" or others call it Putong Bagas outside the church especially early in the morning.  Know a little bit of Naga and Bicol's history with the main Plazas of the city. All these can make you feel like us, like a local Nagueño.

Hotel employees are very courteous and attentive to their guests needs. If you need anything, just call the front desk and they will readily assist you. Flight bookings and tour packages are also available at the front desk.
