Tour around Bicol's past through Museo Arqueologico which is just right beside Museo Ecclesiastico.

There are lots of artifacts inside this room. I think our ancestor were business minded back then, with lots of artifacts just like during the empires of China. Which goes to show that there already exists barter trades centuries ago. This is your pictures from your history books in real life, for sure you'll be able to appreciate the subject. 

This is a very controversial burial jar which was contested by some historians.

Let Ma'am Arejalo explain the figures on top of the jar. It really portrays Ibalong's history. According to her, Ibalong pertains to the whole Bicolandia.

You can see crocodiles here, sun worship, offerings and the like. 

You'll have to visit the place, see to appreciate Bicolandias history. Like me, I was able to appreciate more my Bicolano blood in me.

Question? Can you honestly say that you really know the history of our city? I for one wishes to be re-oriented or be educated by all means about Naga City's colorful past. I got the chance to visit the museum last August 3 and accompanied our office visitors to be toured around our city. Honestly I can't remember if I was really able to enter the museum during my childhood days. What I can remember was that we performed a cultural dance there during my late high school years. 

So to speak, I'm just like a first timer ready to learn something about Naga City's past. The facade of the seminary is usually compared to that of Intramuros. It really feels like you are being brought back to the past. 

Ma'am Fabi Arejola is the musuem curator. I have always been an eager listener to curators and tour guides just like during my past road trips in other heritage sites especially in Northern Luzon. You can really learn a lot from Ma'am Fabi, it's like listening to bedtime stories.

At the Museo Ecclesiastico

This part of the museum is for the religious pieces collected from among the parishes and dioceses of Nueva Caceres. 

This is how it looked like before, at least we can say that most of the iconic edifces in this compound is standing strong up until today except for the Archbishop's Palace which is a new one because the old building there was bombed during the ___ period. (sorry i forgot lol)

I really got interested with this figures, so asked Ma'am Fabi to explain more about these stone churches. This proves that we have a deep seated past when it comes to our religion.

My favorite part of the seminary is the Obra Nueva. This is the youngest part of the seminary basically based on it's name "Obra Nueva" meaning New Art, yet still very very old and obviously older than I am. 

As a conclusion, the museum is a proof that Bicol's faith is already centuries old and I can also say that Naga City is the "Little Vatican" of the Philippines.
