" Physical structure of a health facility is an important success factor in the delivery of quality services. People have strong preferences regarding amenities available in health facilities. This year, 2013, dreams are unfolding for Bicol Medical Center (BMC) as it prepares itself to take on broader responsibilities to be defined, to a large extent, by the new 8-storey ward to be constructed right at the site of the old OPD Building.
The BMC Special Bids and Awards Committee (SBAC) conducted the Pre-Bid Conference for the said DESIGN AND BUILD INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECT with an Approved Budget for the Contract (ABC) of Four Hundred Nine Million Six Hundred Forty-Two Thousand and Five Hundred Pesos (PhP409,642,500.00), at the National Kidney and Transplant Institute (NKTI), Quezon City, last January 14, 2013. Bid Opening for the project shall be on February 26, 2013, 2:00 P.M., likewise at NKTI. Completion of the work, pursuant to the Invitation to Bid, is five hundred forty (540) calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed.
This big leap in the development of BMC is congruent with the hospital’s aim to be one of the leaders in the healthcare services industry. This is also the fruit of the system-wide planning and development faithfully implemented by the government for the Department of Health"
